Norwegian Regrets?

Do you suppose the guys who awarded Barack Obama the Nobel Peace Prize because they thought he was their kind of guy--i.e. the kind who, unlike the hated Bush, wouldn't be given to "surges" in Muslim land--are regretting their decision? Or are they counting on the Afghanistan "surge" being an aberration, one that Obama has vowed to correct a year and half from now?

Either way, the sight of a president whose country continues to wage war receiving the world's most famous peace prize this week is bound to elicit more than a few chortles and snorts. Even Obama is aware of the weird "juxtaposition" (a disconnect, more like) and is reportedly planning to address it in his acceptance speech.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if the teleprompter went on the fritz for that one?
