Not So Fast

I won't go into the ins and outs of the latest Canadian "human rights" Tribunal ruling posted on the CHRC site: Should you care to read about it, you can do so here. I would merely point out that one of the arguments for setting up the "human rights" system way back when was to hurry along cases which, had they been heard in a regular court (where cases can get bogged down due to due process and a presumption of innocence and other quaintly old-fangled practices), would have dragged on for many years, and that this particular "human rights" imbroglio has been dragging on since--wait for it--2004. That's hardly what I (or even a "human rights" commissar) would characterize as "speeded up."
