With No Due Respect

What kind of crazy world do we live in? The kind of crazy word in which Zion-loather Desmond Tutu is a patron of South Africa's two Holocaust Centres. The kind of crazy world in which South Africa's chief rabbi thinks that's a grand idea and condemns efforts to remove the "revered" Archbish:
(JTA) -- South African Chief Rabbi Warren Goldstein has slammed a petition seeking the removal of Desmond Tutu as patron of two Holocaust centers in South Africa.

"I believe it is wrong to call for the resignation of Archbishop Desmond Tutu as a patron of the Holocaust Centre," Goldstein said in a statement released late last week.

“In deference to Archbishop Tutu’s widely recognized leadership role in the struggle against apartheid and to his revered position in South Africa, it would be an act of disrespect to remove him as a patron.”

The statement said, however, that Goldstein considered Tutu’s criticisms of Israel “unfair." Goldstein also is a patron of the Holocaust Centre...
In deference to Tutu? You must be joking. As an enemy of the Jewish State (and therefore of the Jewish people), Tutu deserves the same kind of  "deference" you'd accord, say, Jimmy Carter, Mary Robinson or any other Israel-trashing "Elder" who thinks if they cloak their Zionhass in sanctimonious blather about "peace" and "justice" we won't notice their fangs. To be clear, he's owed not a whit, not a speck, not an iota of deference.
